Of the three houses at Il Capolavoro, one sleeps eight: Ritratto di Donna, 90 m² on two floors in San Terenzo, Lerici, 250 metres from the beach. It is not a villa and does not pretend to be — it is a large, independent family house with a sea view. Below: the layout, who sleeps where, how it works for two families, and when booking two neighbouring houses is the better idea.

The house for eight, floor by floor

Ritratto di Donna is a 90 m² house on two floors, with two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, and three shower rooms in all. It is the only one of our three houses with a sea view, and its patio sits in the shade of an old olive tree.

The first floor has the living room, a fitted kitchen with a dining table, and a shower room with the washing machine. The two bedrooms are on the second floor. Outside: the patio with table, sun loungers and parasol, and a reserved parking space inside the property. The entrance is private — nothing is shared with other guests.

Where eight people sleep

Eight beds, stated plainly: four people sleep in the two double beds in the bedrooms, four on two double sofa beds. One sofa bed is in the sea-view bedroom, the other in the living room on the first floor.

The living-room sofa bed opens at night in a room everyone uses by day: fine for whoever goes to bed last, or for two teenagers. If every couple needs a door of their own, the two-house option further down is worth a look.

Two families, or two couples with children

For two families of four, the natural split is one family per bedroom: each couple gets its own en-suite, and the third shower room on the first floor belongs to whoever sleeps in the living room. Eight adults can make it work too, with less privacy.

Two families of four

One family in the sea-view bedroom: parents in the double bed, children on the sofa bed in the same room. The other parents in the second bedroom, their children on the living-room sofa bed, with a shower room on that floor.

Three couples, or a family with grandparents

Six people sleep with more room to spare: two couples in the bedrooms, the third on the sofa bed in the sea-view room or the living room. The kitchen table seats eight properly, with a fan oven, microwave and dishwasher.

Eight adults

It works, and three bathrooms help. But two couples sleep on sofa beds, one of them in the living room. For a group of friends who want four separate rooms, two neighbouring houses are often the better choice.

The three houses at Il Capolavoro stand on the same olive hill above Bagnola, and each has its own private entrance, outdoor space and parking. A group that wants to be close but sleep apart can ask for two houses on the same dates.

I Pesci and I Particolari sleep four each: together that is eight people in two separate houses, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. Ritratto di Donna plus either of the others takes up to twelve.

We cannot promise in advance that two houses will be free on the same dates, so just ask. In the booking form, choose one house and name the other in the «Anything we should know» field: we will reply with what is available.

With children

The beach on foot, the car stays put

From Ritratto di Donna, San Terenzo beach is 250 metres away, about four minutes on foot, and the village centre eight. For a family, that means going down for an hour before lunch and walking back, without moving the car.

Each house has one reserved parking space: if you are coming in two cars, say so in your request and we will tell you how to arrange it. For days out, Lerici is twenty minutes on foot and La Spezia twenty minutes by car.

Questions

Before you book for eight

How many people can sleep at Ritratto di Donna?

Up to 8. Four in the two double beds in the bedrooms, four on the two double sofa beds: one is in the sea-view bedroom, the other in the living room on the first floor.

Do children pay the tourist tax?

Not if they are under 12. The tax is €4 per person per night, for guests over 12 years old, for the first 5 nights of the stay: staying 2 nights means paying for 2, staying 7 means paying for only 5.

Can we bring a dog?

No. Pets are not allowed in any of the three houses.

Are bed linen and towels included?

Yes, bed linen and towels are included. In your request, tell us how many you are, adults aged 12 and up and children under 12, so we know how many beds to make up.

Is there a minimum stay?

In low season even 1 night is fine. From June to September the minimum stay is 3 nights.

Can we book two houses together?

You can ask. In the form, choose one house and name the other in the notes field: we will tell you whether both are free on your dates. We cannot guarantee it in advance.
